PUJA Annual General Meeting 2024
Bandar Seri Begawan, 27th January 2024 – Pertubuhan Ukur, Jurutera dan Arkitek (PUJA) Brunei held its 2022/2023 Annual General Meeting at Dewan Betabur, Ministry of Development.
The bi-yearly meeting is held where the three divisions of the institution – namely Surveyor, Engineer and Architect Divisions come together to present reports on the progress and performances of each division, as well as discuss matters, raise motions and address resolutions. This meeting also held the election of the new council members and the new president of PUJA Brunei for the term 2024/2025.
The event was opened with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat as the closing for the term 2023/2024 and the start for the new term 2024/2025. It was then followed by an opening remarks by the President of PUJA, Sr. Haji Mohammad Hanafi bin Pehin Orang Kaya DiGadong Seri DiRaja Dato Laila Utama Haji Abdul Rahman.
Present at the event were Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof – Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and Her Excellency Ar. Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman – Secretary General of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly. The event was attended by over 90 participants consisting of PUJA members, members of the government sector as well as the private sector.
The event also saw the dissolution of the 2022/2023 Council and the election for the new term’s 2023/2024 council members and the new president of PUJA Brunei by the members of PUJA.
Elected as the president of PUJA is Sr. Haji Mohammad Hanafi bin Pehin Orang Kaya DiGadong Seri DiRaja Dato Laila Utama Haji Abdul Rahman.
Elected as the new Vice-President of Engineer Division is Ir. Chin Lee Tuck
Elected as the new Vice-President of Surveyor Division is Sr. Hajah Hajijah binti Haji Salleh
Elected as the new Vice-President of Architect Division is Ar. Haji Amiruddin Bin Aziz
Elected as the new Treasurer of PUJA Brunei is Sr. Mohammad Syukri bin Haji Zulkipli
Elected as the new Secretary General of PUJA Brunei is Ir. Julian Fung
and Ar. Hj Mahri bin Latif, Ir. Adwan bin Haji Tungkat, Ar. Lee Yun San and Ar. Zul’Amalai bin Dato Paduka Ar. Haji Idris as the new General Members of PUJA Brunei.
The meeting was closed with remarks by the President of PUJA Brunei 2023/2024.
