PUJA Academy Hosts Successful Two-Day Seminar on Foundation Design & Construction to EN1997
Bandar Seri Begawan, 27th – 28th August 2024 — PUJA Academy Sdn Bhd (PASB) successfully conducted a two-day seminar titled “Foundation Design & Construction to EN1997,” featuring Ir. Tu Yong Eng, a distinguished representative of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). This seminar builds on the previous session focused on “Reinforced Concrete Design to Eurocodes 1992-1-1,” forming a comprehensive series aimed at upskilling designers and practitioners in Eurocode standards.
Participants included professionals from PUJA (Brunei), the Ministry of Development, the Ministry of Defence, and the Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism. Ir. Tu Yong Eng provided an in-depth overview of Eurocode EN1997, along with essential standards such as EN 1990, EN 1991, EN 1992, and EN 1993. The seminar offered invaluable insights into integrating Eurocodes into foundation design, equipping attendees with practical guidance applicable to both building and civil engineering projects.
