PUJA Academy and Jotun Paints Malaysia Deliver Seminar on Painting Fundamentals
Bandar Seri Begawan, 20th August 2025 – PUJA Academy Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with Jotun Paints (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, hosted a seminar on painting fundamentals at the Atria Simpur Hall, Public Works Department. The event brought 75 professionals from the engineering, architecture, and construction sectors to learn about painting technology, tools, and best practices.
The seminar was presented by Wai Man Yau, Manager–Technical Service at Jotun Paints Malaysia. He has over 19 years of experience in the paints and coatings industry, including roles in research and development, technical service, project management, and training. He holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Technology Malaysia and is an SSPC-CCI certified Concrete Coating Advisor.
The program covered Five Modules which includes Jotun Paints and their latest innovation in Exterior and Interior Paint Technology, paint chemistry, types and properties of paint, and surface preparation methods. Participants also learned about painting tools, application techniques, testing instruments, and common paint failures, including their causes and solutions.
The seminar provided practical insights for industry professionals and opportunities for networking and discussion. PUJA Academy continues to offer professional development programs to support knowledge and skills in engineering, architecture, and construction.
