PUJA Brunei Institute of Architects Hosted Architects Night 2025 in celebration of World Architect Day
Bandar Seri Begawan, 6th October 2025 – PUJA (Brunei), through the Institute of Architects, successfully hosted Architects Night 2025 at the Jade Garden, Level 2, The Centrepoint Hotel. The event brought together professionals from Brunei’s architectural community for an evening dedicated to creativity, innovation, and collaboration in conjunction with World Architecture Day.
Gracing the occasion as Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Legislative Council Member.
The event commenced with welcoming remarks from Ar. Haji Amiruddin Abdul Aziz, President of the Institute of Architects, PUJA (Brunei), followed by an inspiring address from Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Suyoi bin Haji Osman, who highlighted the significance of architecture in shaping Brunei’s sustainable urban future.
A key highlight of the evening was the certificate presentation ceremony to students from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) School of Design, who represented Brunei at the ARCASIA Student Jamboree and Design Competition 2025 in Incheon, South Korea. Their participation underscored the emerging talent and global engagement of Bruneian architecture students.
Guests also enjoyed product showcases by CYZ Solutions, Welflex Engineering, and Jaquar, which featured the latest innovations in building and design technologies. The evening concluded with an informal dialogue session between the Institute of Architects PUJA (Brunei) Committee (2024–2025) and attendees, providing a platform for open discussion and professional exchange.
Architects Night 2025 served not only as a celebration of design excellence but also as a reaffirmation of PUJA’s commitment to nurturing the architectural profession and fostering collaboration within the built environment sector.
