PUJA Brunei Institute of Surveyors and Beach Bunch Bring the Community Together for Jerudong Beach Cleanup
Bandar Seri Begawan, 11th October 2026 – PUJA Brunei Institute of Surveyors, in collaboration with Beach Bunch, organised a community beach cleanup at Jerudong Beach on Sunday, 11th October 2026, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Open to the public, the event brought together volunteers and members of the wider community, including PUJA Brunei members, their families and friends. Participating members were awarded two Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points in recognition of their involvement.

The cleanup aimed to bring members and the wider community together in caring for Brunei’s coastline, encouraging a greater sense of environmental responsibility and fostering a stronger community spirit. Volunteers worked across the beach and its surrounding areas, including pathways and car parks, collecting a total of 210 kg of waste. This showed that small efforts, when made together, can make a real difference to the local environment.

PUJA Brunei extends its sincere appreciation to Beach Bunch, the supporting organisations and all volunteers for their part in the event’s success. The cleanup reflects PUJA Brunei’s continued commitment to engaging its members and the wider community beyond professional development, and to promoting environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
