PUJA Academy Hosts Seminar on BIM Digitalisation and GstarBIM Technology for the AEC Industry
Bandar Seri Begawan, 1st July 2026 – PUJA Academy Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Welflex Engineering, GStar Hawk3D & GStarBIM, successfully hosted a technical seminar titled “Harnessing GstarBIM Technology: Digitalisation, Standardised Workflows and On-Site Practical Adoption for Brunei’s Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Industries Practitioners” on Wednesday, 1st July 2026 at the Atria Simpur Hall, Public Works Department. The seminar attracted over 110 participants, comprising of PUJA members, Government officials, contractors, consultants and industry professionals.
The seminar was delivered by Yixiong Geng (Ethan), a Senior Technical Support Manager at GStar Hawk3D & GStarsoft BIM Business Unit (BU) specialising in Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital transformation and ecosystem development within the AEC industry. With over a decade of engineering experience, Ethan has supported large-scale BIM implementation and digital transformation projects through his previous roles with Siemens and Autodesk.
The seminar explored the growing role of BIM in transforming the construction industry through improved collaboration, digital workflows and project delivery. Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of BIM, industry best practices and practical applications of GstarBIM technology, followed by a hands-on training session covering software operation, project coordination and workflow management.
The session provided valuable insights into the adoption of digital technologies and standardised BIM workflows, supporting Brunei’s continued efforts to advance digital transformation within the built environment sector. The seminar reflects PUJA Academy’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality professional development programmes that enhance technical capabilities and promote innovation across the architecture, engineering and construction industries.
