PUJA Academy Hosts Seminar on Soil Investigation Interpretation and Geosynthetics Applications for Civil Engineering
Bandar Seri Begawan, 24th June 2026 – PUJA Academy Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with Solmax Geosynthetics Asia and ATH Chevron Sdn Bhd, successfully hosted a technical seminar titled “Interpretation of Soil Investigations Results & Geosynthetics for Civil Engineering Applications” at the Lecture Theatre, Universiti Teknologi Brunei. The seminar attracted over 44 participants, comprising engineers, consultants, contractors, academics and industry professionals from the construction and infrastructure sectors.
The seminar featured presentations by Ir. Dr. Lee Lin and Ir. Albert Lim Lum Kong, who shared their expertise on geotechnical engineering, geosynthetics applications and innovative solutions for infrastructure development.
In the first session, Ir. Dr. Lee Lin shared insights on the interpretation of soil investigation results for geotechnical analysis and design, highlighting the importance of understanding subsurface conditions for safe and cost-effective construction. The presentation covered ground investigation methods, subsoil assessment and case studies on ground improvement and slope stabilization projects.
Ir. Albert Lim Lum Kong delivered one presentation on geosynthetics applications in civil engineering. Through project case studies from Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Coastal Davao City, he demonstrated the use of geosynthetic solutions for coastal protection and land reclamation.
The seminar provided participants with practical knowledge and real-world case studies demonstrating how geotechnical investigations and geosynthetic technologies can contribute to more sustainable, efficient and resilient infrastructure development.
